BMW NBT EVO IDrive 4 to IDrive 6 + Apple CarPlay OEM

We offer a complete NBTEvo iDrive 4 to iDrive 6 upgrade, including activation of BMW Apple CarPlay in Fullscreen.

We are based in Australia and follow the AEST timezone. However we are flexible with our coding hours.

Our solution is designed to provide a stable fullscreen CarPlay experience without random reboots and has been used successfully across hundreds of upgrades.

How to check your firmware version

Go to:

Navigation → Options → Settings → Position & Version History → Version

Your system should display a version beginning with:

NBTEvo_XXXXX

Compatible versions include:

NBTEvo_A / NBTEvo_C / NBTEvo_D / NBTEvo_E / NBTEvo_F

All regions are supported.

What you need for the remote upgrade

• ENET cable – OBD2 to Ethernet
• At least 30GB of free storage on your computer
• Windows PC, or a compatible Mac running Windows
• Battery charger / battery support during programming
• A Wifi Antenna installed in the car - message us for help with that

You can use either an OEM BMW Wi-Fi antenna, such as part number 61119278133, or a suitable aftermarket FAKRA Wi-Fi antenna.

The Wi-Fi antenna is not included and must be purchased separately. Installation instructions can be provided.

How the remote session works

After booking, you will receive the required software and setup instructions.

Once everything is installed, one of our technicians will connect to your computer remotely using TeamViewer and complete the upgrade.

The full process generally takes approximately 1 hour from start to finish.

Compatible vehicles must be equipped with NBTEvo iDrive 4, typically found in selected late-2015 and early-2016 BMW models.
